To my uncle, I have always held the memory of you, as a child, in my ❤. Although the family, in life, as such as life demands, I always wanted to know and reach out to my Grant family. I need never have to explain, because I know, Your sister, my mom Marie, we were always in each others hearts. I am so sad, because family is lifes greatest treasure and moments, as I know now, thru it all. I LOVE YOU UNCLE GEORGE. I can not explain it, or why this hurts deeper than expected. I just know, and ask that you take care of my mom, your sister. For "HER" FAMILY, Is all she ever wanted. Kiss her for me, tell her I miss her so much!!! Give Uncle Buddy my , and kisses too! Will see you again. Take good care of your sister, she always needed you both. I LOVE YOU...LISA

George and Geneva were our neighbors for a long time. George was such a nice man and we enjoyed talking together standing out the yard. He enjoyed the holiday seasons when my son Steve decorated our house and yard. He always told Steve how nice it looked.

Our sympathy to George's family and friends.

I remember Mr. Grant as a man with a kind and gentle spirit and great interest in and compassion for youth. I first met him around 1999 through the Augusta Partnership for Children when would see each other at various meetings related to youth in the community. We often laughed at all the meetings we attended, sometimes two in one day. It was obvious that he understood and was concerned about the challenges facing the youth (and their families) in this community. However, Mr. Grant didn't just talk about the issues, he became part of the solution through mentoring, sharing his knowledge and experiences with others, and being an advocate for youth and their families. No matter what the conversation around youth was about, his caring and compassionate nature was always evident.
