Beech Island, SC—Mrs. Hazel R. Cone, 89, entered into rest December 19, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her beloved family. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Cone was a native of Charleston, SC, having made Beech Island her home for the past 52 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Beech Island, a former member of the Beech Island Garden Club and the Parent Teachers Association (PTA). Mrs. Cone was a homemaker, enjoying gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. Ridgway, and Letha Knight Ridgway. The family would like to express their appreciation to Trinity Hospice nurses Vindi and Tara and Aid Shakira for their compassionate care through this difficult time.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Henry F. Cone; two daughters and sons in law, Lynn and Ronnie Peeler, Plum Branch, SC and Alison and Tommy Paschall, Jackson, SC; a son and daughter-in-law, Henry F. "Woody" Cone, Jr., and Christy; seven grandchildren, Ford Cone, Jennifer Friend (Grant), Tee Paschall (Hailey), Ryne Paschall, Katy Paschall, Kelsey Logan (Kurtis) and Krista Paschall (Clay Buller fiancé); one great-grandchild, Richard Sharp; two brothers and sister-in-law, Charles and Mildred Ridgway, Wentzville, MO and Merrill Ridgway, North Charleston, SC.
