Tina,
I just found out about Howard's passing. I am at a loss for words. I haven't seen you guys since we all worked together at The Augusta Chronicle, but I have never forgotten Howard and his incredible way of making his presence known. He was a kind soul that ENJOYED hiding behind sarcasm. He will be missed by many.
To the rest of his family: You raised a fine man and I know he was a good father, son and brother. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. May you rest in peace Howard.
In His Name,
Jenny McCay Terry

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Tina,
Know that I offer all my prayers to you and your family.
Remember that God is always by your side and understands your grief. Always keep Him in your heart! Never lose sight of God's plan and path for us all. Remember that He is planning a wonderful party for those who believe in Him. And, by keeping faith, belief, and trust in Him, will only guarantee you an invitation to his palace for a party of a lifetime!

Howard was my brother and although as adults we did not see or talk a lot, I remember our childhood and we had some good times. My heart is broken but my soul is telling me he is at peace now. He will forever be in my thoughts and love will be with him for when I see him again.

What to say to a dear friend who is no longer with us? The words are hard to find. In the 15+ years that I knew you, I discoverd a witty, sarcastic, hard-on-the-outside and soft-on-the-inside, hard working friend in you. I know how much you loved Tina & Ricky. You WILL see them again. Where there is no pain, no limitations, only joy and comfort. The friends and family you left behind, are saddened but we know that, we too, will see you again! I will miss you dear old friend! Tracy Martin Butler
