Jack Holley Obituary

SUMTER, S.C. - Jack D. Holley, 68, husband of Marilyn K. Holley, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Augusta, GA, he was a son of the late Jack A. Holley and the late Polly Andrews Holley. He was a retired Master Sergeant from the US Air Force with 26 years of service. He served in three tours to England and three tours to Vietnam. He attended Hickory Road Baptist Church. Survivors besides his wife include a daughter, Pamela K. Kirvin and her husband, Johnny, of Dalzell; two grandchildren, Celia Kirvin of Clemson and Katy Kirvin of Dalzell; a brother, Jan Holley and his wife, Genie, of Augusta, GA; two sisters, Sandra Bostrom and her husband, Fred, of Montrose, AL, and Marilyn Holley Roberts and her fiancŽ, Emile Hummel, both of Augusta, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Calvin Snelgrove officiating. Burial will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday in the Florence National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hickory Road Baptist Church, 1245 Cherryvale Dr., Sumter, S.C. 29154. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of arrangements.
