I knew Vic at Curtis Baptist School in the 7th and 8th grades. My earliest memory of Vic (John) was meeting him after school to fight - I don't remember why. Since he outweighed me by at least 50 lbs. back then, I quickly figured out that Vic would be a better friend than enemy. We became good friends for the next 2 years, but I lost contact with Vic when we went to different high schools. We both liked to go to movies - we were the very first people in line at the Miller Theater to see the Adam West Batman movie when it opened in Augusta. I will always treasure my memories of Vic. Rest in Peace, friend.

I have many fond memories of Vic from years in the Augusta Theater scene. My image of him will always include a bandana in his pocket and a lilting gate. What a gentle giant. He loved his memory work and bringing a character to life beyond imagination. Goodbye sweet friend.

I recieved my first encouragement to participate in community theatre from Vic(as we called him then)I remember him as a remarkable talent that never minded lending a hand to a rookie trouper as myself. This was about 1976 or so when we were both young and carefree as students at the old Augusta College. I had lost contact with Vic in recent years, but I cherish the good times and the fun of stagecraft we shared. My hope is that he has found a place where the footlights never dim and the applause never fades

John has left a deep impression with me. I am particularly blessed by the love manifested throughout his lifetime by his sisters, Jackie and Kathy. Through many trials you came, dear John; but in the end you are a friend of Jesus, and now with Him forever. Thanks be to God!
With love in Christ,
