I wanted to come to the funeral and be with all of you, but another death related to my congregation prevented my coming. You have all been in my prayers ever since Jewel told me about Cheryl's email and I read it for myself. God bless and be with all of you. Remember the resurrection to eternal life that is the promise of God to all who know Jesus Christ, which J. R. did and does. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! Hallelujah! I love you all.

Melissa, we don't know each other but we have been dealt the same hand. When I read about your husband my heart broke for you.I too lost my husband in an accident only four months ago,he was hit head on by an 18 wheeler , he died instantly of massive head and chest trauma. He was also very young(33 years). We had two children, the youngest had just turned 2 right before Steven died. In the blink of an eye I also became a young widow with two children. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I think that has been one of the most difficult things for me sometimes it doesn't matter how many friends and family are around I still feel so completely isolated. There aren't very many young women that have had to suffer the loss that we have. I can't offer much but I am here if you ever need someone to talk to that knows exactly where you are coming from.My phone number is listed. Once again I truly am so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers. Sincerely, Lisa Whitaker
