One day this summer Thurnell stopped by my grandfather’s house and gave my sister a painting that he had done of my grandfather and my cousin. Over 25 years ago this picture ran in the Augusta Chronicle and Thurnell recreated it for us. It was the most touching act of kindness we’ve seen and we appreciate this painting more than we could ever know. God bless you. The world needs more people like you.
