Mr. Balbag was our patient for about 20 years. He was thoughtful and kind to the team. For many years he volunteered his time to help us "set up" for the day. He arrived at our clinic to ensure we safely got from the parking lot into the building. This included icy mornings at 4:30 am when we would arrive to find him pouring kitty litter and salt on the driveway for the staff and patient's safety. Then he would make himself useful going around the room setting up each station with what he knew to be each patient's preference of tape and supplies. The last years were hard for him. He was heartbroken when he became unable to drive himself to doctor appointments and treatments. Mr. Balbag liked to take care of us, and we loved taking care of him. We will never forget his sweet spirit and kind smile.
