Joyce P. Compton

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Joyce Marie Philyaw Compton of Bell Drive in Hephzibah died at her home on Sunday, November 01, 2009. She was 79 years old. Mrs. Compton was cremated and all services will be private. Mrs. Compton is survived by her husband of more than 62 years, Mr. William L. Compton of Hephzibah; her daughter, JoLee Marie Long of Hephzibah; her son, William Lee Compton Jr. of Hephzibah; her grandchildren, Mark Long, David Scott Compton, Rebecca Diane Green, Jessica Compton, Alicia Marie Compton; her brothers, Rev. Robert Philyaw and Laverne Philyaw. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Compton Reese; her parents, Gus and Marie Crawford Philyaw; her brother, Norman Philyaw.
