Leroy Wilson Obituary

THOMSON, Ga. - On March 16, 2006, Leroy Wilson was called home to rest. He was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County. He was a life member at Liberty Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church, where he served well until his declining health. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mrs. Orian Jones Wilson; two daughters, Chavala L. Wilson, Decatur, Ga. and Rev. Linda W. Alford of Albany, Ga.; two sisters, Helen Jackson and June Wilson, both of Atlanta; one son-in-law, George L. Alford of Columbus, Ga.; one brother-in-law, James Jackson of Atlanta; two sisters-in-law, Lorene Jones of Winston Salem, N.C. and Vera Wilson of Flint, Mich.; three grandchildren, Leron Alford and Barrington Alford, both of Decatur and Jaden Brown of Decatur; one great-grandchild, Nazareth Alford of Atlanta; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Eulogist are Rev. F.D. Favors and Rev. Bobbie Fann, with the Rev. F.D.
