Mary Jo Herlik

Homemaker AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Mary Jo Herlik, 69, wife of Colonel Quin E. Herlik, US Army Retired. Other family members include her son, Lt. Col. Edward Charles Herlik, U.S. Air Force, of Colorado Springs, CO; daughters, Anna Marie Herlik of Del Mar, CA, Mary Herlik Patterson of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan and Quin; sisters, Patricia Smits of DePere, WI, Kathy Surber of Pulaski, WI; brothers, Gerald Lemerond and Thomas Lemerond of Green Bay, WI. Mrs. Herlik was a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin but lived in the Augusta area for the last 24 years. She was a Roman Catholic and was active in the Augusta Chapter of the American EX-POW's. She was an avid reader and a master needle worker creating needlepoint, quilt and cross-stitch heirlooms that her family treasures. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday April 30, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Mic hael E. Roverse celebrant. Burial will be Thursday, May 12, 2005 at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. The family will receive friends this Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. and a prayer service will follow at 7:30 at Thomas Poteet and Son.
