Over 2 years ago, I helped carry your flag draped coffin off a C-130 in Kuwait en route to your final resting place. To this day, I had never seen your face.

If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guest book for the rest of my life, but I promised LE RON A. WILSON (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

I am Deeply saddened to learn of the recent loss of Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Anthony Jordan. The price this young hero and his family have paid for this country and for freedom, WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
May Michael rest safely in the Loving Care of God and may the Peace of the Lord continue to be with the Jordan family.

It is ironic that my wife saw this online and asked if my cousin Patrick Hughey’s wife Pamela (Pam) had a brother name Michael. Not knowing if this is the same family however, I will research to verify. In the mean, time just know that there are many so grateful for all the Armed forces is doing daily. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Jordan family. I have many memories of Michael as young boy. I was in the choir with him and Pamela at Springfield Baptist Church. We grew up in the church and spent many Sundays in Sunday school together. He was a kind young man and always very polite.
