Oscar W. Coxson was my First Sergeant in 1973 at Alpha Company, 125th Signal Battalion. He was a very fine gentleman and a class act and someone you can't forget. I think of him often.

Mr. Coxson was the real estate agent for our initial home purchase about 36 years ago. He was so patient and very helpful to us, a young couple barely married a year who didn't have a clue about home-buying. Mr. Coxson was such a gentleman and we are glad that God allowed our paths to cross. We offer our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

To the Coxson Family. Life is uncertain. But as sure as we are born, one day we must die. Sometimes we sit and wonder why. The fact is it's God's will and we must comply. Throughout our lives, we live through happiness, sadness, many toils, and strife. And when our earthly life is over we enter into our eternal life. Whenever a loved one or friend makes their earthly depart, it is natural for it to bring hurt and sorrow to our hearts. To deal with our loss we grieve, mourn, and cry. In all essence, we must remember this is God's will and we all must comply. For those of us that are left behind, we must cherish the special memories and keep them all in mind. Just remember it is not for us to question why we have to die. It's God's will and we all have to comply. May God's grace comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead. Rest in peace CSM (Ret) Coxson. Once again God saw the road was getting rough, and the road of life had become too hard to for CSM Oscar W. Coxson, to travel and called him home. There is nothing that anyone can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in time of sorrow, but the NCO Corps will offer our heartfelt condolences and prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of these heroes will carry through each day and night. The NCO Corps thanks him for his selfless service act and his willingness to defend the United States of America and all that we hold sacred. Though tears can never bring him back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that they made and our sorrow at his passing. Additionally, the NCO Corps thanks everyone for keeping him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. There are many in the ranks that believe for every fallen sergeant major like him there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift God has given the Corps. Rest easy, sleep well my brother. Know the line was held, your job is done. Rest easy, sleep well. Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held. Peace, peace, and farewell
