Patsy Hoffman Obituary

MCCORMICK, S.C. - Mrs. Patsy Ellen Hoffman, 86 , of Savannah Lakes Village entered into life eternal on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Petra Health & Rehab of McCormick with her three loving daughters, Paulette Stefanik of Hilton Head, S.C., Susan Georgette Ruth of McCormick and Theresa Weakley and her husband, Joseph of Luray, VA. at her side. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Maureen Rose of Greer, S.C., Angela Thayer of Dunwoody, GA. and Sean Ruth of Morgantown, WVA. and her five great grandchildren, Kayla, Andrew and Connor Rose of Greer, S.C. and Miles and Addison Thayer of Dunwoody, GA. Mrs. Hoffman was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, George Isiah Hoffman, to whom she was happily married for 65 years; grandchildren, Chad Ruth and Jennifer Stefanik; sons-in-law, Bill Ruth and Michael Stefanik. Patsy was an excellent seamtress. She loved to crochet and delved into any new craft. She and her husband were avid gardeners and enjoyed sharing the bounty of their harvest with neighbors. Patsy and her husband, George were founding members of The Lutheran Church of St. Andrew in Glenmont, MD. where they were active members for over fifty years before moving to West Virginia in 2002. There will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of Patsy Ellen Hoffman at The Lutheran Church By The Lake in Savannah Lakes Village at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 with Pastor James Kinsler officiating.
