Ray Quarles Obituary

Retired Machinist EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mr. Ray Pierce Quarles, 81, of Hwy. 23 West, husband of Jean Deason Quarles, died Thursday at Edgefield County Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Sunday September 16, 2007 at 2 P.M. at Red Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Quarles was a native of Edgefield County and a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired Machinist for S.C. Electric and Gas and he was a WW II Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife, three sons, Ellis Quarles, John Robert Quarles, and Steve Quarles; two sisters, Alma Morgan and Ada Caylor and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Red Hill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 17, Edgefield, S.C. 29824. The Family is at the home and will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M.
