Robert Jennings Obituary

HERTFORD, N.C. - Robert Ishmel Jennings III, 70, was called home to be with our Lord November 21, 2009. He leaves behind a wife of 49 years, Verona; a daughter, Roberta Baggett; two sons, Kit O'Neal and Kyle O'Neal; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dauzie Jennings. Other survivors include five brothers, Pete Wells, Ray Jennings, Otis Jennings, Virgil Jennings, and Jerry Jennings; two sisters, Peggy Reid and Judy Jennings; and two foster brothers, Alvin Young and George Young. He attended Evans High School, served four years in the U.S. Navy, and has made Norfolk, Va. and Hertford, N.C. his home for the past 50 years. There will be a remembrance memorial on December 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Freedom Bible Church, 4569B Cox Road, Evans, Ga.
