AIKEN, S.C. - The beloved Mrs. Ruth Smith Holland entered into rest on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 19, at 1:00 pm at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 130 Independent Blvd., Aiken, SC with the Rev. C.A. Scott officiating. Viewing will take place at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home beginning 12:00 noon Monday. A. A. Dicks Funeral Home, 2548 Main Street, Columbia, SC is in charge of these arrangements. Mrs. Holland, a native of Aiken, SC, was a graduate of Schofield High School class of 1961. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and also attended Ashley Grove Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her mother, Penny Ophelia Smith, Aiken, SC; her son Mack Holland Jr., Augusta, GA, her daughter Cynthia Holland, Aiken, SC; two granddaughters Kanita Holland, Atlanta GA, and Jasmine Holland, Augusta, GA; one grandson, Carlos Jackson, Augusta, GA; and one great-grandson Kayden Mack, Atlanta, GA.; two brothers Kenneth (Dorothy) Smith, Albuquerque, NM, and Mcronel (Barbara) Smith, Aiken, SC; five sisters Doris Pope, Mary Annette Vaughn, Shirley Brown, Christmas (Jimmy) Starlings all of Aiken, SC; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
