Sydney S. White

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into eternal rest Friday, October 22, 2010 at University Hospital, Mrs. Sydney Sanders White, 86, wife of the late Aubrey White. Mrs. White was a native of Sumter, SC but spent most of her life in Augusta and Aiken. She was retired from Clemson University Extension Service in Aiken. Family members include: nieces: Nancy S. Turner of Martinez, GA, Suzanne S. Gay (Tom) of Augusta, GA, Dorothy Sanders of Savannah, GA, nephew: Michael R. Sanders (Danna) of Duluth, GA, stepchildren: John E. White (Lynda) of Highlands NC, and Sally Lacher (John) of Trenton, SC, granddaughters: Alison W. Ibsen (Bill) and Susan W. Treadaway (John) and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 25, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Don Prosser officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be the great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.
