Benjamin Spangler Obituary
Big Ben was a hardworking man who dedicated himself to his career. He worked at Mooseheart and the City of Aurora before retiring after 20 years of service as a truck driver for BFI. He took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic.
In his free time, Big Ben enjoyed going to drag races and fishing. He was also a family man who loved spending time with his loved ones. He had two dogs, GiGi and JR, whom he loved dearly.
Big Ben is survived by his daughter, Michelle Spangler Hughes, and son, Benjamin P. Spangler. He was a proud grandfather to Benjamin Lil Benny Spangler (Gabby), Patricia Spangler Hughes, Lincoln Hughes, Sierra and Savannah Spangler, and great-grandson Angelo (AJ) Lee. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Lanning and Charlotte (Scott) Jones and brother Gary Spangler
Big Ben was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin C. Spangler Sr., mother Katherine M. Spangler, brother Robert Spangler, and Joey (Turk) Spangler.
Big Ben will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
