Candy was an inspiration to all of her sorority sisters in Alpha Phi. She was a terrific leader who knew how to handle the most difficult circumstance with Grace, humor and dignity. She was fair, diplomatic and most of all logical, a trait that would serve her well as President of the Gamma Omicron Chapter at Drake University.

After graduating from Drake we lived together in Evanston for three years before I got married. I treasure the time we spent together. I wish you peace and eternal rest dear friend. Prayers and comfort to the Carey family
