David was with my mom for about 15 years, from the time I was 12. He meant so much so me. I called David my step dad. You always think you have more time with people. I haven't talked to David in years and I feel horrible. I love you David. I'm lucky to have had you in my life. I'm a better person because of you and I'll never forget you.

We are so deeply saddened to hear about the passing of David. Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Losing a child is one of the most challenging things a parent can go through, and I can't even begin to imagine the pain and sorrow you must be feeling right now.
I know David was a great person and will be remembered for his kindness, courage, and strength. We know his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Please know that we are always here for you and your family during this difficult time. If there's anything we can do to help, please let us know.
With deepest sympathy,
Michelle and Michael Knight

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and David today and always. Our kids took tennis lessons from him. He was so passionate and caring. What a great loss! Prayers for you and your family during this difficult time.

I taught tennis around David for over 20 years. He had this habit that always entertained me: I´d ask him a question that had to do with the year that something happened and he would glance at his watch before giving his response. As amusing as that was to me, there were times he wasn´t even wearing a watch!
He had a set of like 3 movie quotes, that I´ll not share, that he cracked himself up with over and over and over...and over. While he took teaching tennis seriously and always professionally, he also loved to make people smile.
David had a habit of starting every private tennis lesson by asking his student "how are you feeling today?" He was just that nice of a guy and a gift to the tennis world.
