David Shaughnessy

David P. Shaughnessy, age 46, a resident of Aurora, IL, passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2017. David is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Helen; his loving daughters, Eileen Margaret, Shannon Marie and Maggie Ann Shaughnessy; his mother, Janet Price; his brothers, John L. Shaughnessy, IV, Michael Shaughnessy and Patrick Shaughnessy; his nieces and nephews, John L.,V, Joseph and Katie Shaughnessy, Phoebe, Isabel and Michael Shaughnessy, as well as a lifetime of great friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John L. Shaughnessy, III. David was born on April 7, 1971 in Blue Island, IL. He was an accomplished scuba diver and completed over 700 dives, all over the world. He was a huge fan of the Chicago Blackhawks. David was always ready for an adventure and was excited to start a new chapter in his life as a small business owner. He was a true friend to all and was always there if someone needed something. Above all, David was a loving husband and a generous and caring father who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be Monday, August 7, 4:00 until 9:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A celebration of David's life will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
