I was taken back in time so fast when I read Mr. Robertsons name yesterday.
He was the sort that stays in your memory because of the kind and considerate person he was. I worked at Austin Western as a "Goffer" in 1955-56
in the Adv.Dept. A close friend of mine
Dean Lawerence, worked with Dean in
Engineering and looked on him as a mentor. He would agree that Mr. R was
a special influence just by the way he lived. Dean L. has retired to Arkansas and may not be up on the Ill. news. I only wish to say to the family that he left a legasy of good will with anyone that met him over the years. Also he had the niftiest 1956 Dodge coupe I ever saw.

Dean, whom I met in Antlers,OK in 1949, was one of my best friends. We worked
together in OK, Rochelle and Aurora,IL.
One weekend he drove us to see his Mom
and Dad in Kell,IL. We enjoyed fishing,
which we did in OK,IL,and in Canada with other friends of ours. Dean also
talked me into attending Indiana Tech
in Ft.Wayne,IN where I also obtained my
BSME degree. He was my best man at my wedding in 1988 here in Prescott, AZ.
My wife,Edee, and I last saw him in
September of 2007 at Michaelsen's Health Care Center. Parkinson's had
caused his voice to fluctuate which
made it difficult for him to talk to us. Farewell!
Our condolences to Suanne, her sons and family.
