John Hamling Obituary
He also leaves behind his best friend and cousin Tony Secor along with many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Swann family.
He is preceded in death by his father John L. Hamling, baby brother Vincent along with grandparents John & Marge Hamling, Jim & Nancy Swann, Uncle Curt Hamling and Aunt Teresa Secor.
John served in the Army Infantry from September 2005 to February 2009. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, Global War onTerrorism Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star AR, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Combat Infantryman Badge.
Military burial will be held at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Elwood, IL on January 27th at 2pm with reception to follow at the Montgomery VFW at 4pm.
