John Wojciechowski Obituary
Preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Mary Wojciechowski; and several aunts and uncles.
Survived by two daughters, Olif (significant other Curtis Hatcher) and Charity Wojciechowski; 5 grandchildren, Zak, Olif, Susan, Gunner, and Grayson; a brother Bernard "Bernie" Wojciechowski; a sister-in-law, Kathy Wojciechowski; a niece Wendy Slavicek; and a nephew Brian Wojciechowski.
John grew up in Lemont, IL. He worked at AuSteel until it closed, and most recently Sheffield Steel in Joliet. He was a member of Holy Angels Parish in Aurora. Some of his hobbies and interests included riding his Harley, scuba diving, and dressing up as "Wojo" the clown and Santa at Christmas. He will be best remembered for being a loving father, grandfather, a good brother, and his boisterous laugh that when you heard it, you would join along.
Visitation Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 2 – 8 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont. Funeral services Wednesday, January 19, 2022, 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to SS. I met John when I moved in two doors down from him back in 2014. We quickly became friends and stayed friends this whole time. He was the kindest and most gentle person but I think I have ever met and I will miss him dearly. The day I found out about his passing I felt a shadow Cross My Heart. My friend. My buddy. I will always remember you with beautiful memories.

WoJo was a precious friend to me & my family. We've had many good times together at my house and at my mother's in Kankakee. My whole family loved him. He will be missed, even though this Covid stuff has kept many of us from visiting a lot, I know that if he thought we needed him, he would have tried to get here. My heart aches for his family and friends. I loved him! My son Jerry has lost a great friend!
