Leonard Oeser Obituary

Leonard A. Oeser, 58, of Sandwich passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born June 20, 1958 in Chicago, IL, the son of Donald and Helen (Sill) Oeser. He married Gail Ringelman on December 12, 2012 in Yorkville, IL. Leonard was a member of the Sandwich Moose #1016. He was always there for others. Leonard enjoyed gardening, being Mr. Fix-it, the Cubs, the Sox, the Bears, the Bulls, the Lakers, but most of all he enjoyed his family. He is survived by his wife, Gail of Sandwich, IL; three sons, Nick (Jessica) Oeser of Oswego, IL, Greg (Michelle) Oeser of Aurora, IL and Doug Oeser of Corona, CA; one daughter, Alexis Martin of Aurora, IL; one stepson, David (Lindsey) Haynie of Austin, TX; one stepdaughter, Jennifer (Ryan) Salemi of Lake Holiday, IL; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Oeser of AZ and Sue Oeser of CA; three brothers, John (Danita) Oeser of CA, Mike (Beth) Oeser of Springfield, IL and Edward (Tonia Nicholson) Oeser of GA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Sandwich. Memorials may be directed to Gail Haynie care of Santa's Helpers at Heartland Bank. We were so shocked to hear that Lenny had died. We are so sadden by this news. We loved him & he will be missed dearly, he wasn't just my cousin , he was a close friend to both Ken & I . Such wonderful memories we carry in our hearts. Love & prayers to all of his family during this very sad time.
