Ricky Johnson Obituary
Ricky Dale Johnson, 63, of the Minneapolis Community, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 27, 2022 at Mission Hospital. A native of Avery County, he was a son of the late Clyde and Virginia Young Johnson.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Alecia Dare Johnson and a brother, Gary Johnson. Rick enjoyed watching his sons play ball, going on the top of the mountain and being on the beach. He loved fishing, racing cars, spending time with his tree lot family, giving his loved ones a hard time and most of all spending time with his grandbabies.
Surviving are his sons: Zackery (Casi) Johnson and Eli (Amanda) Johnson; grandchildren: Daisy Dare, Ezekiel Dale and Sadie Rae; siblings: Douglas Johnson, Sharon (Bill) Wrench and Wayne Johnson; nephews Dudley Johnson, Donnie Johnson and James Wrench. Several grandnieces, grandnephews and special friend, Donna Duncan also survive.
A Memorial Service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, in Minneapolis Baptist Church. Rev. Bryan Griffith and Rev. Jimmy Hicks officiated. The family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the services at the church.?
