She lived in New York City in what is known as the West Village for several years until she moved to Palmdale, California in 1971. As the oldest of 6 children, she was considered the pillar of her family and highly respected by her siblings who eventually immigrated to the USA following her lead. Aura lived a fulfilling life as a mother, sister, wife, and friend. She raised her family in Palmdale. Attended St. Mary's Church and was a devoted Catholic. She was always very private but was the first to lend a helping hand if asked. She believed in equal rights for all. She was a seamstress and loved sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was known as an excellent cook by her children's friends in addition to her family. When the children became adults, she loved to travel and eat out with them.
