David Lee FREIMAN

1944 - 2021

At the age of 77, David Freiman of Palmdale, passed away from pneumonia. David was born in Seattle, Wash. the only son of Ben and Ruth Freiman and then relocated to Manhattan Beach, Calif. when he was in high school and ultimately graduated in 1962 from Mira Costa High School. He proudly joined the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968. Unfortunately, he was exposed to agent orange during this time, which would cause health issues later in his life. After his service, he graduated from the University of La Verne with a bachelor of science degree in business management. He dedicated 42 years to Lockheed Martin Skunk Works as a procurements senior rep., where his love of aircraft was apparent to everyone. He volunteered his time at Black Bird Air Park and was always ready to tell anybody everything about the planes in the park. He could talk to anyone and they would always leave him knowing a little bit more than they did going into the conversation. His military service was always a part of him and he made sure to stop any fellow veteran to thank them for their service.
In retirement, David took many RV trips with his wife, grandchildren and beloved pets. He was a longtime member of the Vineyard church and spent 40 grateful years in A.A.
David is survived by the love of his life Marie Freiman, son Richard and Jennifer Schwandt, son Clifford and Joan Schwandt, grandchildren Cory, Jeanine, Stephanie, Samantha, Ephraim and Joy, great-grandchildren Duplica and Kamille.
David was a role model in a lot of ways, but his best roles were as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. Due to COVID-19, his immediate family celebrated his life into the loving arms of our Father God.
