June SPENCER Obituary

March 31, 1943 - Sept. 21, 2022
Lancaster - June Anne Spencer, 79, has gone to be with the Lord she so passionately served, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She passed on Sept. 21, 2022 peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on March 31, 1943, in Rochester, N.Y. and was the oldest of five children. June was a devoted mother, who loved her children fiercely, but her greatest joy was being a wonderfully involved grandmother. She was always up for an adventure and loved to travel. She was actively involved in church and community affairs, particularly cherishing her ministry, Royal Family Kid's Camp, where she became known as the camp "Grandma." June has gone to join her beloved son Greg, as well as her brother Gary and her sister Debi. She is survived by her husband Michael Spencer, daughter Allison Spire, son Andrew Visokey, stepdaughters Tina Ziegler and Cheryl Campolla, 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister Susan Carroll and brother Jeff Herbst. There will be a memorial service on Oct. 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at City Church, Lancaster. Donations to City Church for Royal Family Kids Camp.

I offer my condolences to the family of June. I knew June while working at Market Basket and Smith's Food King in Palmdale and always enjoyed being in her presence. At the time when I came back to Christ at the beginning of 1982, June was always an encouragement to seek the Lord always. I'm looking forward to a reunion before long. May the peace of Christ be with all of the family.
