Milwaukee - Ronald (Ron) William Minzey, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022 at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was born on Dec. 30, 1941 in Mishawaka, Ind. Ron was the son of Jeff and Helen Jeffers. He married Eloise Minzey on Dec. 28, 1968 in Walnut, Ill. Ron served 22 years in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of the Vietnam war. Follow- ing his retirement from the Air Force, Ron worked in the aerospace industry, most notably as a logistics analyst with Northrop Grumman. He retired from Northrop Grumman in 2000.
Ron loved carpentry, restoring and fixing cars, fishing and being with family. He was a devoted father, grandfather and fan of the Chicago Bears and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He is survived by his companion of 33 years Lyn Cutler and her daughter Shannon (Ben) Wheatley, both of Constantine, Mich; two sons Darrick (Lara) Minzey of Spring Grove, Ill. and Brandon (Brandi) Minzey of Lake Havasu City, Ariz; two sisters Carolyn Stabrowski of Mishawaka, Ind. and Christine (Joel) Meyers of Houston, Texas and four grandchildren Payton, Dylan, Parker and Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents Jeff and Helen Jeffers.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements were completed by Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Service. In lieu of a form- al service, online condolences may be sent to www.maxsass.com.
