I was 21 or 22 when a student admin assistant at the USSS office in Phoenix in 2007. Mr. Causey was always a great mentor and boss. Rest in peace my friend.

My husband, Jim, and I were Tony's "mom & dad" when he was at Dyess AFB and Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX. How we loved him! We lost contact with him when we moved to MO in 1983 and always hoped we'd be able to reconnect with him. I recently found some old photos of Tony, wondered how he was, etc., googled his name and found this obit. What a shock! Please accept our late condolences. I would love to hear from his daughter or his wife. We never stopped loving our "son."

HOW? WHAT? I'm at a complete shock for words right now. I knew Tony thru my previous career in D.C. I always wondered about Tony how he was and hearing of his daughter. We used to share "kid" stories of how our children were progressing. I remember the laughter of "scaring" me. This is a shock to just research his name to say hi and find the news. Tony will never be forgotten nor will his honor that he had for his family.

Tony touched the lives of so many people. He was a good Christian man and loved his family more than words can ever express.
Tony spent much of his life protecting our Freedom. He is a true hero and I know he is in Heaven.
Tony's dad was in the Air Force as was my dad. Being "Air Force Brats" was what we had in common and how we became friends. The last time I talked to Tony in early 2008 he talked about his three dogs and his daughter Harleigh I know he loved her so much.
Tony was such a great inspiration to me and I will never forget him.

I am sorry to hear of Tony's death and the circumstances. I was Tony's Karate teacher, from whom he earned his black belt in the 1980s. My prayers are with all of you. I am a sergeant with FWPD, and a United Methodist pastor. We had many times to share Jesus Christ, for which he had great zeal. Let me know if I can do anything for your family. God bless you! Kelly & Harleigh, I read about Tony on the retired agent's forum (www.Oldstar.org). I didn't know him but my spouse probably did. My husband, ATSAIC Chris Smith (age 44) died 12/27/07 (ATL FO) We have a daughter also, 17 years old. I am 51--about the same as Tony. I DO feel your pain and will pray for both of you A LOT. Chris was in a coma for 33 months before he died and every moment with him was wonderful. I know you treasured life with your husband, but you and Haleigh are still a family and Tony will always be with you in spirit. Just know that others will be praying for you and God is there, always, with those loving arms around you. His infinite mercy will raise you up. We are kindred in spirit. Please call me anytime if you want. God bless you and Haleigh. Kathy Smith, Lawrenceville, GA
