Dear Eileen, Pat, and Family,

When we think of Art we think of his sweet heart and kind spirit. He was so gracious to us during our visit to Sun City, Arizona two years ago. The thought of Art warms each of our hearts and causes us to smile.

Please know that you have been and will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

All our love,
Tom, Susan, Hannah, and Nathan Kennedy

Dear Eileen, Pat and Family

I will always remember Art as a humble man who was very protective of his family. His gift of nurturing was also shown in the care of his garden especially his wonderful tomatoes grown from seedlings--they were the best !!!

My prayers and thoughts will be with you in the days to come

Even though Grandpa Brock and I were only related by marriage, he soon became close to my heart. Our mutual love for photography was probably the key. We’d sit on the couch together when our family would come to Arizona for a visit and in his quiet manner he’d lean over and say, “So what’s new with photography?” like he was a writer for Popular Photography and I was a photographer for National Geographic. Ha! Anyway, I always enjoyed our talks. I admired his “eye” for photography. During Pat’s early years, he took loads of pictures. I got the chance to print from some of those negatives. My favorite photograph is one of Pat in front of a building in Chicago. (View the Photo Album on this site.) It was perfectly lit with natural lighting and perfectly composed. He was an artist, though his art remained a hobby so he could provide for his family by other means. His love for photography was passed on to Keith, his grandson and my husband, who follows in Art’s footsteps…a faithful husband who works hard for his family. Grandpa loved his Grandkids and his Great Grandkids, and they loved him right back! I miss you already Grandpa…I love you! Lisa

It was such a blessing to Lindsey and me to be able to visit with Grandpa Brock during the last few days before his passing. I'll always carry many memories of the times we had together as I was growing up; Santa's Village, sharing Grandma's pies and cakes, golf lessons, photography..., just to names a few. Lindsey was glad she got to say goodbye and will hold the letters she received from her Great Grandpa close to her. She was excited to have the famous typewriter many of the letters were written on. Thank you Grandpa.
