I remember the holy convocations particularly the Fridays when Bishop A. Loring spoke. At the completion of the sermon, all the pastors would prey for Bishop and then all of us had an opportunity to line up for prayer and blessings. The Loring family will always be special to me.

Dear Family,
My heart goes out to you all as you navigate these challenging times. I'm going to miss Bishop's random calls to check on the status of things in Washington, DC! I was always pleasantly amused at each promotion he provided when he addressed me. For example, he would call and say, "Is this the First Lady of the White House?" I would respond, "Close but no horse-shoe." He would then proceed to ask about my children and the extended family. His heart was in the right place, showing love.
May the Grace of God be upon you,
Effie
