Barbara Colizzi Obituary
Barbara Elizabeth (Kane) Colizzi of Surprise, AZ and formerly of Reynoldsburg, OH returned to God on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. She was born on December 3, 1936 in Buffalo, NY to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Wachaya) Kane. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony (Tony) Alfred Colizzi. Survived by sisters, Beverly (Richard) Roberts, Carol Kane (James Snider), and Brenda (Robert) Cuschleg; brother, Terry (Kathy) Kane; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Retired from Ohio Bell (AT&T) Telephone Co. Member of Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, AT&T Pioneers, Third Order Carmelites, and Church of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal where she was a cantor and member of the choir. She was passionate about her Catholic faith, her family, painting, music, her nieces and nephews, and the raising of beautiful Shelties. We offer many thanks to Orchard Pointe Assisted Living of Surprise, AZ, Sunrise Assisted living of Gahanna, OH and all those caregivers who loved her. Family will receive friends 5-8 pm Friday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where a Rosary service will begin at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 5225 Refugee Rd. Columbus, OH 43232. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Pataskala, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018, Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656, or to Orchard Pointe Assisted Living, 15048 W. Young Ave. Surprise, AZ 85374.
