Ingalsbe, Barbara Hovey
96, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on December 27, 2016. 96, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on December 27, 2016. Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was full of spunk. Barbara was witty, friendly and welcoming. She was an excellent cook and grew up on farms and always had a garden. She cooked farm fresh meals based on what was in season, and she canned items for the winter months. She loved reading, and books were her favorite gift. Barbara worked outside the home and had a clothing store on State Street in Orem. Barbara greatly enjoyed activities with her best friend and late husband Glenn "Bud" Ingalsbe including square dancing, bowling, golfing, and the cabin they shared in Overgaard Az. She is survived by her daughter Glenda Pace and son Col. Gerald Ingalsbe (Pam), 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and sister-in-law Lucille Doxford Hovey. She was preceded in death by her father Bert Hovey and mother Fontella Williams Hovey, sister Mildred McKenna (Leland) and brother Robert Hovey. Barbara was born in Vernal, Utah and raised in Utah until the mid-1970s when she and Bud moved to Arizona. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, 4800 E Lawn Drive in Provo, Utah. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix 85014.
