Barry was my neighbor in Santa Fe and became one of my very dearest friends. He was hilarious and such a sweet and understanding friend. I remember standing at my kitchen sink in Santa Fe washing dishes and being mesmerized by the snow. Suddenly there was Barry. Smiling as he headed for my front door coffe cup in hand walking in snow with shorts and flip flops. I loved him dearly and think of him often until we meet again.

Lance, I can't tell you how extremely saddened I was to come across this. I have been looking for Barry for many years since we lost contact probably in the early 80s. He and I knew each other at North Texas and then dated for a short while after. He was a funny and yet very deep and personal friend. I just wish we had stayed in contact since I thought the world of him. Again, my deepest sympathy goes out to you.
