Brian Knoll Obituary

Knoll, Brian
Heaven became significantly brighter and more fun on Friday, April 15th, 2016, when Brian Robert Knoll received his angel wings after a short but valiant fight against cancer. Brian was born on December 27th, 1970 to Duane and Roxann Knoll in Tacoma, WA. He grew up in Parkland and graduated from Washington High School in 1989. He attended Pierce College and Eastern Oregon University. After several years living in Puyallup, his career took him and his family to Chandler, AZ, where he resided until his death. Brian was a man of multiple talents, but he will be most notably remembered for his skills as a loving husband, absolutely awesome dad, caring son, loyal brother and the best friend a million people will ever have. Evidence of his impact on the lives of so many was visible in the legions of friends that came to make sure he knew it during his last days. He coached his children, and the children of many others, in soccer, softball, and volleyball. When not coaching, he was their biggest fan. Brian leaves behind to mourn his passing the love of his life, his wife Becky, his children Blake (21), Taylor (17), and Tanner (15); his parents Duane and Roxann Knoll; his sisters Kristie (Scott) Page, Heather (Guy) Almquist, and Holly (Anthony) Gindhart; his mother-in-law Betty Andahl (Dan Lara); sister-in-law Debi (Stan) Harris, and brothers-in-law Rick (Susan) Andahl and Bruce Andahl; twelve nieces and nephews, and those legions of friends covering all corners of the world. Already in heaven to welcome him are his grandparents, Robert Higginbottom, William and Clarice Phillips and Al and Genevieve Knoll. Brian so filled the lives of every single person he met that the holes in all of those hearts will never be filled, but the memories we all carry will be with us forever. Memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 at The Grove Church, 2777 South Gilbert Road, Chandler, AZ. A separate memorial will be scheduled at a later date this summer in Washington State. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the cancer research organization of your choice or an account has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank for Brian's children (Knoll Kids Donation Fund). You left us beautiful memories. Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, You're always at our side.

So sorry to hear of your loss. My brother Russell was friends with Brian in grade school and Junior High. Brian use to come over to our house to go swimming. Brian was a year behind me in High school and he was always friedly. The last time I ran into to Brian was about 15 years ago. I was visiting my sister in Puyallup and we went for a walk around her neighborhood and I heard someone call my name and there was Brian. He knew my sister from the neighborhood but did not know she was related to me and Russell. Brian was as nice as I ever. It is very sad that the world has lost another of the good guys.

It is with much sadness that I hear of the passing of Brian. I went to school with him and his sister Kristie, and will always remember him as the cute little brother of my childhood friend. My thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends, and take comfort knowing that he is in Heaven with all who went before him, to welcome him home.

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Brian. Our deepest sympathy to Brian's whole family. We only had the pleasure of meeting him one time at his Uncle Ray and Aunt Lydia's house for the 4th of July party. A true loss to his family, something most of us can't even fully understand.
