I met Cathy and Rose trough the American Legion Auxiliary. I was new to Arizona and the one thing I realized after I moved here was it is very hard to meet friends and extra hard in the Auxiliary. But then there was Cathy and Rose and a friendship bloomed they were honest and fair treated me with kindness and there was always laughter and fun. When I think of Cathy, one of my students from Chandler Junior High School, I automatically smile. She played volleyball, basketball, and softball on the school teams and offered not only her talent and skill as an athlete, but she also brought her keen sense of humor to keep us laughing. I am so happy that I was able to reconnect with Cathy on Facebook as she was one of those "kids" that stays with you forever.

I haven't seen Cathy in years, but reconnected on FB about a year ago, I was so happy to have gotten back in touch with her. We grew up in Church together, and every Sunday would take a bike ride after Church. One day my brothers and I and Cathy rode clear up to San Tan Mountain to visit with an old Hermit that lived up there in the hills. We stopped along the way to get cool and wet in the Canal's. What a time we had, so fun!!! She also played Softball with my Mother for years as the Catcher. She will be missed and I am so glad I found her again after so many, many years!!! You Cathy were a wonderful person and you will now rejoice in the presence of our Lord. RIP now. I will miss our Chats!!

Cathy and I lost touch after high school, like most people we just go our seperate ways. We attended church together for most of our adolescence years. She was a fun loving caring person, I'll never forget our bike rides after church on Sunday's, we even rode clear up to San Tan Mountain to see the old hermit who used to live up there. It was quite a ride, when we would get hot we would park our bikes and jump into the nearest Canal, then continue on, it took us all day to get there and back home. I loved Cathy as a person, and even though we had lost touch with each other FB brought us back together later in our years!!!
