Wesner, Constance K.
Constance (Kaufman) Wesner, 95, of Paradise Valley, AZ passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, in Scottsdale. Constance Harriet was born April 26, 1915 in Appleton, MN to the parents Andrew J. and Cliff (McCoy) Kaufman. Constance ("Connie") grew up in Appleton, MN and attended Appleton Public School and graduated in 1933. She attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN majoring in music, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in music in 1938. Connie married Harris G Wesner in Appleton, MN in 1943, and the couple lived in Seattle, WA until they returned to Appleton, MN in 1945. Connie and Harris were the parents of 4 children - Drew, Anne, Marcia, and Margot. In 1976, she and her husband, Harris, moved from Appleton, after which they resided in Paradise Valley, AZ during the winters and Park Rapids, MN at Potato Lake during the summers. As well as enjoying her family and being a very good cook, she was an excellent pianist and a very talented water color artist and loved playing bridge with many of her friends. She is survived by 3 of her children - Drew Wesner of Scottsdale, AZ, Anne (Wesner) Moore of Moorhead, MN, and Marcia Wesner of Scottsdale, AZ; 5 grandchildren - Amy, Aaron, Lindsay, Paul, and Leah; 3 great-grandchildren - Devin, Cali, and Sam. She is also survived by her only brother, Edward Kaufman of Green Valley, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter, Margot (Wesner) Persen. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you take a loved one out to dinner. No memorial services are planned at this time.
