Loving husband, father, son and brother, as well as an unforgettable friend died in his sleep Sunday morning August 25th, 2013; at the age of 58. Born in Detroit, MI, Danny was one of eleven vivacious children. His career spanned a diverse selection of jobs beginning with chopping onions at Coney Island and progressing to fields such as hospital janitor, cable puller tester, pizza delivery man, cab driver, and body retrieval for Wyman's Mortuary, but his passion was strongest when he was caring for other people as a Registered Nurse. Danny moved to Arizona with his brother Mike O'Malley in 1978. He fell in love with his wife on the night they met at his mother's 50th birthday party in Michigan in 1979. On January 1st, 1980, she moved with him to Arizona to begin a long-lasting, loving relationship where they started a family which included three wonderful children, Chip his favorite first child and Trevor his favorite third child, and of course Emily was his favorite daughter. Danny was a member of Mensa, a voracious reader, lover of music, food, travel, history, science, art and above all people. He was extremely entertaining in regaling family, friends, and acquaintances with stories and antics, that no matter how inappropriate were always told with love. He is survived by his Wife Karen Pelzer; Children, Chip Pelzer, Emily Cleary (Ryan Cleary),Trevor Pelzer; Mother, Carol O'Malley; Brother, Charles Pelzer (Rosalba); Sisters, JoAnne O'Malley, Cindy Harbourne (Jim), Mary Grodus (Mike), Molly Beyer (Aunt Bob); and dozens of nieces and nephews. Friends and Family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, August 31st at 11am at Queen of Peace Church 141 N MacDonald Mesa, AZ 85201.
