David Feldman Obituary
David Feldman, Ph.D. (69) passed away Sept. 25th at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. David was loved so much and leaves behind his wife Phyllis, daughter Rebecca Feldman and granddaughters Abigail and Emily Secia. In addition, he leaves his brother Jack Feldman and sister Lynne Feldman, loving aunts and uncles in Florida and Philadelphia, wonderful cousins and the entire Gordon family. He will be missed terribly. David (Professor Emeritus from Ball State University) dedicated his professional life to helping young people with multiple and severe disabilities. Following retirement, he did volunteer work with the Jewish War Veterans and the Sun Lakes Fire Department. A Memorial Service will take place on Thurs. Oct. 3rd at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, Chandler, Az. at 1:00 p.m. For any persons wanting to honor David's life, donations can be sent to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute of Phoenix. www.valleyofthesunfuneralhome.com.

I just learned of Dr. Feldman's passing today while online. He was my professor at Ball State University. He taught two of my upper level methods classes in special education. He was one of my favorite professors, and influenced me greatly as a teacher. He was always so positive and shared with us his diagnoses of Multiple Sclerosis. I have thought of him over the years as he greatly influenced my approach to teaching individuals with developmental disabilities. I also was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1999. Dr. Feldman will be greatly missed. He was not only av wonderful educator, but a wonderful human being as well.
