Even though I probably only met David a couple of times, he was a cousin. His Dad, Richard was my father's (Eugene) brother. My condolences and sympathy goes out to you and your family. Sandra Lou (Staiger) Martin

To the Staiger family:
Dave and I have been friends for over thirty-five yrs. All though we were three thousand miles away from each other I still felt very close to all of you. Arlene- you were a great wife to Dave and a great mother to your kids. I will cherish the last days we spent together in San Diego in September even though Dave was not feeling well. We had a long talk as we walked the California beach.
I am very saddened by his death. I will always cherish the memories we have had together. God bless all of you and hope to see you soon.

I am so saddened to hear about Dave. We were such close friends as children. I have so many happy memories of those days.
The world is sometimes so cruel and Dave seemed so fragile. He was an honorable defender of our country and I was so proud of him when he returned from Vietnam.
Dick and Russell please accept my heartfelt condolences at this sad time. I will keep you in my prayers.
Peace to you.
