Time fly’s. Oh how I wish you were here to celebrate life with me . I’m so curious to know who you would be and all the experiences I know we would have had . My sister , my very best friend, I miss you so much. Thank you for giving me some of the best memories. 15 years ago today life changed for an entire high school class . We lost you . We were forced to deal with grief just weeks before graduation. College plans changed , celebrations changed ,life changed ! We were forced to grow up without you, get married without you, have children without you... experience adulthood without you . 17 year old me will never forget that pain, but 32 year old me has learned how to cope and find the beauty in sorrow. I spent a couple of months with her on the rifle team..and every morning everyone walked it at around 5:30 with a tirred face. Except dominique she would come in with this big 'ol smile and I miss that.

Everyone tells me to just hold onto the happy times that you and I had . I try to think of only those memories . I remember when you first came to Pittsburgh to see me about 4 years ago . I introduced you to all your family at our family reunioun and I can remember you saying , "dad ....wow I have a lot of family ...and I replied you sure do baby and they all love you " ...I remember the last conversation we had was about 3 weeks ago now and it was by text on the cell phone .....I recieved the first text from you and you simply said , "Hi dad " I said hi Nique ...you replied what are you doing ....I said . "I'm at work " then before you could send another text ....I said Nique . " would it be corney to say I miss you " you replied ....NO ....I then text back "I miss you " you replied I miss you too dad ....I then text I love you Nique ....you text I Love you too dad ....Dominique ..I know you had to leave your dad to be with your FATHER ..but I miss you like crazy.....see you on the other side ..(Dad)
