Dorayne Hainlen Obituary

Hainlen, Dorayne A. (Dee)
Surrounded by her loving family, Dee passed into God's loving arms on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the age of 81. She was born to Dorance and Vera Stone on August 22, 1928 in Denver, Colorado, where she grew up with 4 siblings. She went on to attend Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado, where she met the one and only true love of her life and husband of over 60 years, Robert F. Hainlen (Bob). Theirs was a love story. Dee and Bob moved to Arizona in 1954 where they raised their 4 children in Scottsdale. Dee loved working at Saguaro High School in both the attendance office and in the English department, retiring after over 20 years. Dee is survived by her devoted husband Bob, children Bob (Lin), Nancy Diveley (Rick), David (Betty), and Jon (Maureen), sisters Shirley Kubat, Phyllis Schrader (Wayne), sister-in-law LaVon Metcalf, 15 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in Heaven by her parents, brother Lemoyne, sister Marilyn, niece Raelene, and grandson Christopher. Dee was truly the backbone of a large and loving family and she will be forever missed. Despite our tremendous loss, we find comfort in the fact that she has found the peace she so wanted and deserved. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656.

Wow, what memories from Saguaro High and with Nancy and the rest of the family. So sorry to read of your Mom's passing, Nancy. I have lost touch with you and need new contact information for you and also for Debbie, if you have it. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I have many memories of working with Dee at Saguaro. She was always cheerful, kind and caring toward all and a blessing to the school. My deepest sympathies to Bob and the entire family. You are in my prayers.

We have only had the pleasure of meeting this fine lady on a few occasions through our friendship with some of her children. To the Hainlen family and friends we send our sincerest sympathies for their loss and we know her memory will live on through them, until we all meet again.

I heard a bell ring today and now know for sure that Dee is an Angel in Heaven. My memories of Dee were ones of such a beautiful Woman both inside and out. Such a loving Mother and Grandmother and that shows in her fantastic children. May you rest in peace.

Aunt Dorayne, you will be missed by all who knew you. Your heart was made of gold. I'll never forget the visits that I took with my mother and Aunt Shirley down to Arizona to visit you and Uncle Bob. Memories....card games, silly hats and laughter. You were a light in this world.

To all of the Hainlens, I send my sympathy. I am sorry that she had to suffer in her final days, but so grateful that she passed with loving people surrounding her. Uncle Bob and Aunt Shirley, I know her passing is particularly hard, and send you my sincere love.

Grandma, you are truly going to be missed. You were the best grandma any grandchild could ever have. I am blessed to have had you in my life all 32 1/2 years of it & thankful you got to enjoy the time with my wife & daughters. I am so saddened by your passing but mostly for selfish reasons; I was spoiled by your love & grandpa's in every sense of the word. There couldn't be many grandparents that attended pretty much everything sport or event we (your grandkids) did. You fought a great fight & now there is no doubt in my mind you are in Heaven with the Lord. You will truly be miss but always remembered. I love you so much & will miss you so much.

With all our love & respect,

James Robert, Amanda, Autumn, & Kailee Diveley
