Coir, Dorothy May
Dorothy May Coir, 93 of Phoenix Arizona Passed away peacefully on February 9. She was born on September 3, 1917 in Syracuse NY. She was a resident of Phoenix for 45 years, having moved from Conway, Arkansas. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Allard "Al" Coir, five children; Daughter Florence Young of Earlham Iowa, sons, Edgar Kousky of Alvadore, Oregon, Richard Kousky of Boise, Idaho, John Kousky of Tombstone Arizona and Bruce Kousky of Glendale, Arizona, 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She worked for many years as a claims secretary and Manager for Grebel Moving. She was active in the Lions Club, having started in the Lioness club, she served in a number of offices in her club and one year as the district secretary, She became a Lion, joining the Longhaven club where she served for many years as club secretary. She was an active member of the Holiday Rambler RV club and traveled throughout the US and Mexico. She had a wonderful warm warm smile and was a loving mother and wife and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. There will be a memorial service on Sunday February 13th, between 1 and 3 pm at the Longhaven Estates Mobile Home Park hall at 5201 W. Camelback Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to the Lions Foundation of Arizona, 1016 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix 85008.

I'm still grieving for Dorothy my friend, my wife and my love. It's been more than 7 months since she passed. As the bard sad "some days are diamonds, and some days, are stones". I wish the stones would go away. RIP DEAR

Dorothy was such a sweetheart. She was fun to visit with; I only wish I could have seen her more. Its terribly hard to lose the Love of Your Life, but i'm sure she's in a GOOD place. Dale & Barb

I'm so sorry for your loss, Al...I think about you all the time and admire your love for mom and your marriage; you two are truly an inspiration. My father just died a couple of weeks ago also; it is so much loss in such a short time; I will always remember Dorothy fondly; her laugh, her love of life, her love for you...she was an inspiration to us all. Thank you for your kindness in remembering my dear wife. I miss her and cry for her every day. I look around our home at the many objects she created with her busy hands and it makes me sad. I am getting better every day with the help of family and friends. LOVE
