My Dears Judy and Barry...I learned only today of Earl's death. My heart goes out to you. In reflection today I recalled those wonderful days in Washington and the evenings the five of us go to dinner....little Barry would curl up with his head in Judy's lap and Earl would carry him from the restaurant....and many, many other happy times. And...I was remembering how close our wedding dates were....Now Earl has joined Jack and we are left, Judy. Again, my heart is with both of you and I send my love. Mary Murphy

Naya and I met Earl & Judy many years ago. We found them to be good friends, committed to our mission of helping people, mostly poor and homeless become self-sufficient, responsible, and in a position to help their children. Earl regaled us with many wonderful stories of his career, his time with Barry Goldwater, and his wonderful relationship with Judy. Early and Judy registered (unpaid) for many years as lobbyists for Amity--and we are eternally grateful to them both, and so sad to lose Earl.
