Earl Pearce Obituary
Lieutenant Colonel Earl Leroy Pearce (United States Air Force, retired) peacefully passed away at home in Payson, Arizona on May 4, 2017. Earl was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on June 6, 1932. He was a fighter pilot for the USAF from 1952-1973, including service in the Vietnam War. Earl then worked as chief test pilot and then facility manager for Sperry Flight Systems from 1973-1985, helping convert F-102 aircraft to unmanned QF-102 Full Scale Aerial Target (FSAT) drones. Earl is survived by his wife Carol of 60 years, children Ron, Steve, Lori, Greg and Jeff, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services with military honors will be held Monday, June 26th at 9:30 A.M at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
