Dear Mark and Chris,

I hope you'll forgive me for this belated expression of condolence for the sudden death of your beloved Erik. I'm sincerely sorry I allowed 3 weeks to pass without calling or writing. It wasn't for lack of caring. Mark and Chris, I simply couldn't find adequate words to express my sympathy for your grievous loss. I still can't find words, but before any more time passes I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers have been with you ever since I heard the news.

May God hold you during these pain-filled days of your fresh grief and shower you with grace upon grace.

Lovingly,

Julie Morales

To the Busch Family in your time of mourning:
Eric was an energetic and vibrant young man who lit up the room with his personality and smile at Wood School. He will be truly missed. His time was short but he affected so many people in a positive way. We wont forget him. Prayers and condolences your family and may God carry you through this difficult time.

I was Erik's Senior English teacher at MdN. He was definitely always the life of our second hour class and someone who his peers admired because he, hands down, always had the best stories. One memory I have is when we went on a field trip to the Renaissance Festival. He had a great time and was so genuinely thankful for the experience. I am truly saddened to hear of this happening to a young person who radiated such a bright light. God bless.

To the Busch family -

I had the pleasure of knowing Erik throughout high school at Marcos, we were in yearbook and a handful of other classes together. He was truly a wonderful, animated guy and he will be deeply missed. I am sure you know how many lives he was a part of, and we all love him and miss him very much. My deepest condolensces to you and your family. This is such a tragedy and I wish you nothing but the best. We are all going to miss him. He was taken much too soon. I wish that there was something else I could say or do, but all I can offer is my sympathy. It was an honor to know him for the amount of time that I did. We'll meet again Erik...

Mark & Chris,

Eventhough I didn't know Erik that well, I will never forget when he graduated from H.S. He came down the aisle with his sunglasses on, cheering and waving, the teacher wanting him to remove his sunglasses. He sure was the center of attention that day.
