Dearest Serrano Family,
Being a native of the mesa, chandler area, Serrano's was a regular happening during the week. My father was raised in chandler, and my family was always coming over to visit my Uncle, who still lives right around the corner from the restaurant. We always felt like we were a part of your family, thank you. Please allow my wife and I to express our sincerest condolences. When death strikes, it leaves no room for comfort. The effects that death has on us is never easy to deal with, this is because the human body was not designed to die. (Ecc. 3:11) Hold on to the knowledge that Almighty God has Ernie in His memory, and all the laughs, winks, and smiles are protected until the time you see her again in the near future, alive and vibrant in health. God will soon do away with death, and all the other maladies that humans face today. (John 5:28,29; 25:8) You will see him soon, may God comfort you until then with His loving kindness, and may your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Love all of yours unconditionally, live for the treasures of today, and laugh remembering all the good things Ernie has left to you.
Warm Christian Love,
Eric and Michelle Strange

I can remember as a child my parents taking us to eat a the Chandler Serrano's and Mr and Mrs. Serrano were always there talking to everyone that was eating there. Now that I'm grown and take my kids there it will be a great sorrow to know he won't be there. We will keep you all in our prayers during this hard time. Just remember he is at peace and now watching out for everyone of you.

As a long time Chandler resident I was saddened to learn of Mr. Serrano’s passing. Just this week we dined in the Chandler Serrano’s and I mentioned to my husband that as a child I could expect to see Mr. Serrano and his wife sitting at one of the two top booths at the back of the restaurant on a Friday or Saturday night – “minding the store”. This past March we sat in the dining room for lunch one day where the Serrano family had also gathered for lunch. Then and now I am struck that his family is a testament to his dedication, guidance and faith. My condolences to the entire family and peace be with you.
